It’s been a while, but it’s now the end of the road for Android Auto on phone screens. As reported by 9to5Googlethe Android Auto app for smartphones is no longer available for any version of the Android operating system. If you have the Android Auto app installed and try to run it on your smartphone screen, you’ll see a message stating that the app is “now only available for car screens” and showing how to pair your phone with your supported one Connect Android Auto-Auto.

If your car doesn’t support Android Auto, you can still use Google Assistant driving mode on your smartphone. It offers many of the same features as Android Auto for phones, although it’s certainly not a full replacement.
