Google’s latest patch for Pixel devices running Android 12 is here and includes the latest security patches and enables VoLTE calling features on certain networks. This is similar to the latest Android 13 beta update released to eligible devices last Monday. However, the update comes a few days later than usual as this Monday was a national holiday in the US
Aside from fixing security issues, the most notable change comes with this update the addition of VoLTE for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro in the APAC (Asia and Pacific) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) networks.. We already saw last week how Google released an update to enable the same feature on the Pixel 3 and 3XL so that older devices aren’t left without connectivity after the 2G and 3G network shutdowns.
Supported Pixel devices, namely the Pixel 4 and newerrunning Android 12 will start receiving the OTA update today. However, the rollout will take place in phases over the next few weeks. You should get a notification once your device is ready for it, but you can also check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates.
