Lara Lewington covered her fresh scars as she attended an event just weeks after falling off an electric scooter and needing stitches in her face
Martin Lewis’ wife Lara Lewington has covered her facial scars with ‘heavy makeup’ after she split her lip and forehead falling off an electric scooter.
The TV presenter and tech journalist, 43, looked fresh as she attended a glitzy event at the British Museum – just weeks after her horrific accident.
She smiled in a selfie of herself in front of the famous building and was showered with compliments by fans.
One wrote: “Beautiful woman and polite. And check yourself. No scars. Xx”
Lara replied, “Thanks, really heavy makeup did an amazing job of covering them up!”
“@britishmuseum dinner, what a venue and what a night. A brilliant reunion of the @foundersforum crowd.
“I’ve met a lot of doctors (I could have done with them a few weeks ago – although only a few are good at medical treatment), tech founders, and generally interesting people,” he said. she continued.
In another selfie, Lara was seen smiling for the camera in a cute blue dress.
She wrote: “Self portrait today for the first time in a long time. I had totally forgotten how useful it is to be able to save a few bits quickly on camera to finish a story.
“I was pretty happy with the lighting, sound, filming, makeup (because the scars were hidden) and then I took a selfie of it all before dropping the clip off to finish my edit. Although I don’t want to do all of this on my own all the time, it feels good to know that I can.”
Lara stunned her followers last week after she shared a photo of her bloody injuries after falling off an electric scooter.
In the first photo, she showed off her stitches as her skin began to heal, and in the second, she revealed her new cuts.

She captioned the photos: “As an extremely clumsy person, always wobbly on two wheels, an electric scooter ride would never be a good idea,” Lara wrote.
“After being cleaned and stitched up, six days later, I’m healing well and I’m thankful it wasn’t worse. Never again!”
Lara is a presenter for the BBC’s tech show BBC Click and has appeared weekly on ITV’s The Impressionable Jon Culshaw, BBC’s Let’s Dance for Sports Relief.
