Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander attempted to crash her marriage to Sam Asghari during a live stream to her followers, only to be apprehended by security.
Jason, who had been married to Britney for 55 hours in 2004, reportedly showed up and contacted event security, telling them that Britney had invited him and that she was his “first and only wife”.
According to reports from TMZ, Jason had livestreamed the previous moment in what appeared to be a physical struggle when the image froze.
They claim Jason walked into Britney’s house where he continued to live stream before eventually being held outside the property.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department reportedly responded to an intrusion call and is still at the home, with a force spokesperson telling the PA news agency that officers were present but had not yet identified officially the intruder.
Jason and Britney tied the knot in an impulsive ceremony in Las Vegas in 2004, but the wedding was called off 55 hours later.
He has previously spoken out for Britney amid the #FreeBritney movement to have her conservatorship removed after more than 13 years, attending a rally at a Los Angeles courthouse in August 2020 where he told TMZ he recently communicated with the star.
Britney and Sam would marry Thursday in Los Angeles, although the singer’s family will not be present.
It is said that she only invited her brother, Bryan, and not her mother and father, Lynne and Jamie Spears, or her sister Jamie-Lynn.
Britney’s sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, who she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, will also not be attending but have sent their mother and Sam well wishes for their big day.
