Botched star Paul Nassif is in mourning, revealing that his older brother, talent agent and film producer Chris Nassif passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday.

The 60-year-old cosmetic surgeon said on Twitter on Thursday: “Yesterday, July 6th, we lost my older brother, Chris Nassif, Sr. He was a beloved brother, father, husband and uncle.”

“This was an unexpected and tragic event that deeply saddened us all. The Nassif family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time,” he said.

Paul also took to Instagram on Thursday and shared a photo of his brother along with a longer message.

“Yesterday I unexpectedly lost my big brother. Words cannot describe the loss my family, his friends and I are feeling right now,” Paul began.

“Chris Nassif was and always will be a legend. Nowadays our world is obsessed with superheroes, but growing up… he was mine,” he continued.

“I’ve always looked up to him, whether it was when he graduated from USC and I followed in his footsteps, or when he started his own talent agency at the age of 22 and ended up representing some of the biggest stars on the planet, from Sofia Vergara to Luke Perry to Ricky Martin and the list goes on…he was always my hero,” Paul said.

“More recently, he has become a successful producer, producing a variety of films and still working on numerous promising projects in the film and television landscape,” Paul continued.

Paul stressed: “When push comes to shove, there’s nobody on this planet who has your back like your big brother. Please keep our family in your prayers at this incredibly difficult time.’

Chris Nassif is believed to be the youngest person to ever set up his own talent agency, representing some of the biggest names in show business.

His clientele once included stars such as Sofia Vergara, Kunal Nayyar, James Van Der Beek, Vivica A. Fox, Jay Hernandez, Michael Weatherly, Luke Perry, Fran Drescher, Chrissy Metz, Evander Holyfield and Martin Landau.

He has also served as producer or executive producer on a number of films and television shows, including Jeepers Creepers III and Larger Than Life: The Suge Knight Story.

Chris also served as a reserve deputy for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and he also served reserve status with the Inglewood School Police Department while also serving on the Homeland Security Advisory Council Region 1 and on the board of the Sheriff’s Youth Foundation the Los Angeles County.
