With Manchester United looking set to miss out on Darwin Nunez, we wrote earlier that the club’s main attacking target should be Antony.
Well, there seems to be some action building on that front.
Antony’s agents are looking to broker a deal
The Goal Brasil headline reports that Antony’s agents are traveling to Europe to negotiate a deal with Manchester United.
The report claims that there is mutual interest between Manchester United and Antony for a possible move this summer.

He adds: “The purpose of the trip is to expedite, and possibly complete, the eventual agreement between the player and the Manchester club.”
Antony would have been one of Erik ten Hag’s first priorities to sign from Ajax, The Telegraph reported earlier this year.
He has been a key player at Ajax for the past 18 months after arriving from Sao Paulo, and the Brazilian club will be entitled to part of the fee.

The Brazilian is part of his national team which is set to travel to the World Cup later this year. With his agents looking to make a deal, it shows the player’s intention is to move on to a new challenge.
Antony has been instrumental in two Ajax title wins under Ten Hag, and the proposed fee for a transfer is €60m, or just over £50m.
United are also considering a move for midfielder Frenkie de Jong, with Marca reporting last night that a bid has been submitted which Barcelona are closely evaluating.
